About MPC: Directions
By Subway:
D train:
Take the D to the last stop – East 205th Street. Go up escalator, exit
turnstiles and go up steps at your right. You’ll be on Bainbridge Ave. Go
straight two blocks until you get to Van Cortlandt Ave. East (it turns into
Reservoir Oval on the other side of Bainbridge). Look to your right and you’ll
see a tunnel leading into Williamsbridge Oval Park. Go through tunnel. At your
right you’ll see a gray stone park house. Our building is at the exact opposite
end of the park, just outside the entrance. So walk around the track to the
other side and we are just outside the park entrance. It’s a big old gray stone
house – you can’t miss it – at 3400 Reservoir Oval.
4 Train: Take the 4 to the second to the last stop
-- Mosholu Parkway. When you exit the turnstile, go down the steps to your left,
walk past Mosholu Parkway North and turn right one short block up on East 208th
St. Make the first left onto East 210th St. (these two numbered streets run
perpendicular) and continue on past the entrance to Montefiore Medical Center,
past Bainbridge Avenue. Stay to your right after Bainbridge and you'll soon be
on a very short stretch of Wayne Avenue. When you can't go straight anymore, at
Reservoir Oval, turn left. We are two blocks in on the left, a big old stone
house that you can't miss just pass Putnam Place. We're at 3400 Reservoir Oval,
just across from the entrance to Oval Park.
By Car:
From the GW Bridge and Major Deegan (87): Take GW
Bridge upper roadway to 95. Very soon on right after bridge you’ll see a sign
for Deegan (87) to Albany. Take that exit and bear to right for Deegan North and
take it about 3 miles to Van Cortland Park South (exit 11)
As you exit, stay to left because ramp divides.
Make left at light onto Van
Cortlandt Avenue. Go up hill and turn left at end onto Sedgwick Ave. Take
Sedgwick until the end and make right onto Mosholu Parkway After you go through
tunnel, make first left onto Van Cortlandt Ave. East (lots of Van Cortlandts up
here). Go straight up hill and when you get to light at Bainbridge Avenue,
continue going straight onto Reservoir Oval.
We are exactly half way around the
Oval at 3400 Reservoir Oval, between Reservoir Place and Putnam Place. It’s an
Old Stone House, you can’t miss it.
