Jerome-Gun Hill BID Successes
5 year Contract Extension
In 2004, our BID received an unprecedented 5-year contract extension from the
City of New York and the Department of Small Business Services to continue to do
our work at the BID. The BID also received excellent evaluation ratings from the
city and accolades from Mayor Bloomberg for our innovative Security Camera
Project and the overall positive impact the BID has made in our community.
Sanitation Scorecard Rating
The BID also continues to maintain one of the city’s highest and outstanding
Sanitation Scorecard Ratings of this past fiscal year
Annual Street Festival
 Our major
promotional event
of the year is the
Annual Jerome-Gun
Hill BID
Festival that
is held during the
fall and features
over 25,000
festival-goers,
25
performance acts,
children’s games
and activities, food
and merchandise
vendors, a celebrity
basketball game and a stickball tournament. The event was
created in 2002 to allow BID merchants and companies to highlight their goods
and services and promote the BID.
